POST-OP ARTHROSCOPIC SURGERY

Arthroscopic surgery on injured joints has become more commonplace over the past few decades.

Arthroscopic surgery is usually performed on the shoulder and knee. Also, due to its less-invasive nature, patients are able to begin physical therapy very quickly—often within the first two weeks after surgery. Therapy consists of activities and modalities to minimize post-operative stiffness and strengthening exercises to regain normal strength while avoiding excessive stress on the area that is healing.
