Post-op Arthroscopic Surgery

Over the last two decades arthroscopic surgery to injured joints has become more commonplace. Arthroscopic surgery is most frequently performed on the shoulder and knee and due to the less invasive nature of this surgery, patients are able to begin physical therapy very quickly (often within the first two weeks post-operatively). Therapy consists of activities and modalities to minimize post-operative stiffness and strengthening exercises to regain normal strength while avoiding excessive stress on the healing area.
